Born in Tulsa, Oklahoma to an Aerial Photographer Father and an Accountant Mother (with a green thumb), Barbara spent much of her childhood in front of a camera.  Her Father was one of the first at the time to own the exciting Kodak 8mm home movie camera.  Filming and tagging along with him in his 2-seater Cessna airplane was always a bonus (especially when flying upside down).  Acting was a joy for her throughout the years, with theatrical performances here and there.  It was not until Barbara chose, in 2006, to leave the Corporate world behind that she was able to pursue the Artist's Life without distraction.

 

She has been fortunate to work under the direction of top directors such as Jarod O'Flaherty (RettaVision), Sean McNamara (Rawhide Pictures), Clayton Guiltner (CG Films), Jon Gunn (Lionsgate), Nadeem Soumah (Formula Features) and Dennis Delemar (Zayan Studios). She has enjoyed collaboration with skilled regional directors, as well: Brian Cates (Skit Guys Studios), Adam DeVizia (Goodstock Films), Stevie Fernandez (Full Credit Media), Jonathan Coussens (Impact Productions), Bo Sanders (Bo Sanders Creates), Damon Lytton (Folktales in Motion), Jason Burks (Retrospec), Tracy Trost (TCM Creative), John Lewis (MotionFrame), Jobie James (Jobie James Productions), Jacob Essman (Busy Dreaming Productions), Jordan Lundy (Pass the Mustard Films), and Brit Sellers (Scoffer Studios).

   

With commitment and a collaborative spirit, Barbie offers a refreshingly clever approach to her creation of rich and memorable characters, often through the use of unexpected acting choices.  When collaborating with today's talented Creators of Art and Story, Barbie understands that her primary Job is:  Assisting You in Manifesting Your Vision.
